I am a multidisciplinary illustrator, animator and visual designer. I grew up in Dallas, Texas and have a Master’s degree in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design. I am currently a UI designer and animator at Panasonic Automotive working in their Advanced Engineering division.
Being a child of the 70’s and 80’s definitely shaped my love of low brow and vintage art. Star Wars came out when I was in third grade. I grew up in the prime of Mad Magazine. Wacky Packages, Garbage Pale Kids, Saturday morning cartoons and actions figures were king. All of these things influence my creative process to this day.
I always make time for freelance and I’ve been fortunate enough to do work for great clients like Topps (Mars Attacks, Wacky Packages, Star Wars), Bird Brain Productions (VH-1, MTV), and Upper Deck (Marvel). I also had the amazing experience of being an animator on the Warner Independent film "A Scanner Darkly”. I participate in art shows when I can, and I am a regular contributor to the group shows at Gallery 1988 in LA.
My career path hasn’t been a traditional one, but it’s been a lot of fun. I’ve lived all over the country and each location has broadened my mind. All these experiences have expanded and strengthened my skill set. I’m always looking forward to the creative challenges to come.
I’m currently based in the Detroit area with my wife and our guinea pigs.
